An Honest Revue
OK...Wow. Netflix remade a beloved franchise and the DID NOT take EVERYTHING people LOVED about the innovative and intentionally TRASH IT to shuffle the point that the fans of it were awful for...reasons.
This is rattling good. It's actually Actually skillful. They don't ut that "woke" thing of "it was ready-made in the 80s so we have to punish the fans for not existence a Millennial."
It takes the elements that people loved from the first run...AND IT KEPT THEM!!!!
It treated what made the first-class honours degree one good with respectfulness!!!!!!
That is all people like me desire!
You have to ticker this. This is finally a refashion done rightmost!!!!! This is good!!!! Information technology is shockingly worthy!!!!! And it doesn't attack the fans of the original!!!!!!

Voltron
Just destroyed flavor peerless. Meh. I mean, it is okay. The story and character development is above average but the sound redaction, CGI-animation and action does nothing merely degrade the overall experience. Which is a shame because of how well written the series comes across. But leastways the season ends well. This is my inaugural time watching anything Voltron and I'm sold on it. It is basically Power Rangers with a head.
Season one mark : 8
Update season two: Meh , non as good as mollify unmatched. Comes off filler until the very last episode which is good but not deserving a season of makeweight
Season 2 Score: 6 Overall Serial Score: 7

Honest with this review!!
Warning: Spoilers
As a fan of the original, I was precise restrained with this remake, near definitely with remakes being horrible this day and age. I gave it a shot & that is it!! They have tried as well rough to alter it up from the original by moving characters around from what they were!! They receive ruined the wait of voltron & the lions!! The lions &adenosine monophosphate; voltron accustomed look like they think of line of work, had a way about them that was like, let me think ahead I mess with these guys. Immediately they retributive look stupid!! Can't put across information technology whatever clearer than that!! The creative was uncurved from Japan with some clean up for The States viewers because it was a little excessively violent for kids then, where As this unity just misses the mark, Catamenia!! And so at completely cost if you are a fan of the great 80's reading, skip this!! One many affair, Netflix is losing customers everyday because of innovative content & this "remake" of an original!!! One go thing, they have the wrong person voicing the princess!!! They went PC with the this!! Edit!!! Not sole is the princess entirely reprehensible, they receive Pidge as a female & in Voltron 84, you clearly hear the nanny call Pidge Boyfriend!!!

Voltron lives over again and it is awesome
For starters into the original Voltron picture ,though I knew what it was about I never manage to get endowed into the plot, characters and concept, probably because I was much a Business leader Rangers follower. All the same this serial rocks and made me a Voltron fan.
The serial had great process, escarp brain and awesome designs, Voltron, the Planets and the battles ne'er were so pretty. To the battles ,they were what I wanted from a serial with fleets of astro-ships and giant robots and monsters, also the directing was peddle pure so you could follow the action each the metre. Merely what made me eff this series what the many different design of the aliens and their planets and vehicles some on land and in space, with in 24 episodes the variety was psychotropic and it very trade the fact that this a space adventure.
Also As a wonk I am into science stuff and the phenomena that take place on space always interested me and the series used some of them into the story. That composed with the late fact about the diverseness of alien species show ,the dedication and work ,which was put into the series, the creating team really wanted to make the series as good as they could and in my baseborn opinion they did it!
And finally the character development and patterned advance was great equally our heroes gradually changed from their experienced. To add to that filler was very limited, even when it chance it was mostly for comedy and every bit for funniness and jokes start it was on point all time, which once more show that the directors, writers ,producers and actors and actresses put their hearts and mind into this jut out.
Ultimately this series was a love letter to the older fans and a great introducing to red-hot ones and this is World Health Organization remakes should be through with, be some about the same fundamental idea merely doings IT in a different light and way, like with the new Satellite of the Apes films.

Utter Garbage
Warning: Spoilers
It starts off a mess and goes downhill from there.
Voltron is the only thing that force out halt the Galra Empire. Thus, 10,000 years ago, at the height of a warfare with the Galra Empire, the king of Planet Altea hid the lions that make aweigh Voltron so they wouldn't diminish into the hands of the Galra's Emperor Zarkon.
Um, if Voltron is the weapon that hind end frustration Galra, wherefore hide it? Why didn't the king consumption Voltron to defeat Zarkon 10,000 years past?
That's OK, forget almost it. There are plenty of fart jokes, indigestion jokes, vomit jokes to channel this narration.
Both people call this "what Voltron was meant to comprise." Yes, the innovative series had a narration just as hobbled together, just this is no better. It makes no sense inside itself, and that's a bear-sized problem.
The new big problems are poor vocalism impermanent, poor dialogue, poor character establishment and development.
The bonus is the princess has the pseudo euro AHHHHHH cent so popular in modern sci fi.
It will take Voltron to save me from this mess. Voltron, Defender of Sanity: you pluck out the eyes, I'll cut off the ears - then I won't be able to see or hear this garbage.

A Grand, Delightful Sci-Fi Risk
Do you call up Saturday morning cartoons? If above a certain age, you bash. They were playfulness, poppy, and enjoyable, although as we got older, we came to pull in that they weren't precise corking.
This is like a Saturday morning cartoon, except information technology's good.
Ventilated on Netflix and made by fundamentally the entire Korra team minus Bryke, this is based off the classic 80's show Voltron. That show was all proper. This evince is great. IT's non Avatar-great or Korra-great, but it's great. The animation is top-notch, the writing is solid, the characters are interesting, the pacing is fantabulous and it's an all-around good time to look on.
This a series that is ready-made for binge-watching. The episodes flow into each separate so well that it's like a mix in between a Goggle bo series and a movie. It's almost a new medium, or at least a new format. This is a very interesting development. It'll be riveting to see where it goes, both in this serial and in television generally.
Thankfully, this is a serial publication you wish need to binge-watch. It starts you unsatisfactory in that direction by combining the offse three episodes into one verse form hour-long season premier, but IT is the quality and addictiveness of the show that carry you the lie of the way. Honestly, I'd be surprised if anyone didn't binge-keep an eye on this. Information technology's non like whatsoever of the great adult-skewing TV dramas equal Breaking Bad or Game of Thrones, OR even shows like Avatar and Korra, which can tire you out and pull back you to take a break. These episodes leave you with adequate Energy that you want to springboard into the next unmatched.
This choice extends to the series as a whole. Without giving too much away, the total season ends abruptly, leaving us on a cliffhanger. Forthwith, if they were focused on one season at once, this would not be a estimable choice for the ending. It's unsatisfactory. Merely when the entire series is realized, information technology's a brilliant thought. People would ending season 1 and jump immediately into season 2. Despite what you Crataegus oxycantha sustain heard, it's selfsame possible for later seasons to retroactively ameliorate before seasons. This takes that to a whole new steady.
None of these characters were particularly interesting in the senile 80's demonstrate, just low the deft hand of Team Korra, they each have specific and well-formed hopes and fears and desires.
In a administer of shows where a squad of heroes moldiness save the day, unitary penis of the squad (operating theatre that member and his touch) get all the spotlight, piece the other heroes are swept to the background. Indisputable, they may get episodes in the sun, merely even then, it's obvious and contrived that they were just trying to get those characters more screen sentence. Often, those characters don't eve have any bearing on the finally. But here, it's different. The team really feels like a team: all five members matter. On that point is a leader, but he doesn't overshadow the rest of the team, and information technology feels like he's the loss leader not because some marketing department declared him to be so, just because he's the to the highest degree mature and knowledgeable out of all the characters, and would naturally be the loss leader.
I also love life this series' ability to take typical Goggle bo-episode plots and pretend them emotionally and thematically reverberative. In the third-to-last episode, the characters' ship gets corrupted. It's funny, yes, but away the end of the episode, an important sacrifice has to be made, and you'll be crying your eyes out. It takes a deft grip happening storytelling to be able to pull something like this off.
Directly I'm not saying the show's perfect. Information technology terminate occasionally catch bogged knock down in things we don't tutelage about, and while a significant come of suspension-of-disbelief is needed for a show corresponding this, information technology sometimes pushes you too far and feels too stilted. But the weakest part of the show is its villains, no of which are all that interesting. When the villains are on screen, I rather bide my time and wait for them to switch second to the heroes. But when they doh switch punt to the heroes, my eyes lock on to the screen. I was non expecting to become so invested in the characters and environment and plot, but Team Korra got me. Outstanding show, guys. I testament be waiting for season 2.
(P.S. I erotic love the interpersonal chemistry betwixt the characters. Information technology's queer and earnest. They really fare make a good squad.) By: Joshua A. Fagan http://jfmillenniumreviews.blogspot.com

Did non expect this show to be this good
When I first saw that Dreamworks and Netflix are rebooting Voltron, I thought it would constitute standard nostalgia fare - a little of fan service, nothing inexperienced, a little of legal action and that's information technology. Well it ISN't and I'm glad it isn't.
Voltron: Legendary Defender is a damn close-grained full of life show that is smart for kids and also respectful enough for the adults. Animation is pretty solid, voice acting is great, plots are attractive and creative. Team chemistry is also nice. Characters are a bit cliché but done well, so even if they are a bit standardized, they standing feel fresh thanks to the good script and acting.
If I had one bone to pick with this show, it has to be the main theme. Information technology's exactly whatever and IT just needs to follow more metal, speed and all that. Only it isn't, IT's forgettable. Get any experienced golden stripe that's also non scarcely there yet (Revocation? They would probably smidgeon the Voltron theme for the ages) and ut this great show justice with an awesome theme too.
Two seasons down (high?!), one-third one is coming as fountainhead. I can recommend this to everyone. You can watch this unequalled, whether your're a kid or an adult. You can watch it with your kids Beaver State your parents or even grandparents, but you'll probably like-minded IT.

Bad good reboot...pseudo-spoilers (significant no heart-break information, simply just a few bits)
Admonitory: Spoilers
So, where should I commencement? What I like about the bring up, or what I don't like...
I'll start with what I don't like, because there is such less.
I could do finer animation if I were an extra in a damn Pokeman cartoon, and I suffered head injuries.
That being said...everything else is SUPERB! The performing, the plot, the casting, the new revised characters...it just works.
I don't head that they have a new Black Lion commander, and that Keith is now the Flushed Lion, and I preceptor't mind that Pidge is now a lady friend searching for her father and brother...I like those changes.
The only if thing I detest is deplorable-a$$ vivification -- it reminds me of the South Park episode "Chinpokomon".
Hopefully if/when this Netflix show gets a second season, it volition get enough money to improve its life...but I suffice think it is a worthy reboot to its 80's counterpart. Good luck, I wish you symptomless!

pure awesome
This show is, without exaggeration, staring awesome and excitement. Almost every respective installment is an amazing thrill tantalize with colossus mechs incompatible, its awing. The animation is fantastic, the 2d vitality is rattling fluid and the 3D that they use for all the mechs is really well done also, information technology blends with the rest of the cosmos real considerably and the mechs really feel massive, they way the move and clang makes them feel like they have historical burthen to them. All the voice playacting rpeformances are pretty good and the story is absorbing with hilarious drollery. The only complaint i have is that all the characters feel jolly cleche, especially for this genre. We've got the gruff leader, the nerdy tech geek, the fat guy cable WHO likes food, the edgy emo dude, ECT. Ect. Differently that though its a tops series, i could definitely enjoin give this one a try, its fantastic.

It just keeps acquiring bettor.
As a fan of the 80s cartoon, I was sceptical of the she when they rebooted information technology 2 years ago. But on that point was no needed to exist, as a matter of fact, I have been moving away time and again at how good this show is. The writing, character development, animation, humour, music....everything is but superb. I will be sad when it all ends.
As a kid, the original series was great and unequal other reboots, this one gets it on the far side right.
Apiece new flavor raises the bar even farther. Can't extremely recommend this register plenty.

First 6 seasons were epic, then, non so much.
Warning: Spoilers
I was a buff of the show as a kid and I am a fan this series too...for the most part. Season 6 was definitely the height of the serial and I suppose they set the BAR so high, they couldn't top it after that. They added things that didn't need to cost added operating theatre had no productive on the story, like Shiro's tiny back fib. Felt the likes of they added it to keep the PC crowd joyous, information technology wasn't needed and brought nothing to the story at all. The last season was a bit of a mess unluckily, unclear once in a while and exactly solid-colored weird and while the final installment is no "These are the Voyages" (See ST: Enterprise) IT was such a let kill to end the means it did, once more disagreeable to please the PC crowd. I had rated this series 10 stars for the first 6 seasons, only the finish two regrettably means I feature to drop a pair of stars. In future, fell the PC garbage, we don't care about it as it just detracts from dependable story telling.

Great...until it wasn't.
Warning: Spoilers
Net ball me explain my title. Voltron is awesome, the archetypal 6 seasons were anyway. Season 7 was the beginning of the destruction. 7 was still watchable, but I wouldn't top 7. Season 8 is like a laugh they played on the fans, just utter frill and an ending that conscionable laughs in our faces.
I just started observance the series again from the beginning and I contrive to eat up IT in season 7. Then many people ingest adjusted their paygrad based connected temper 8. I have as well, only only by 1 Star. It's nonetheless worth watching to a point.
IT's not a immaculate, mainly because they throw whatever PC junk into show for no reason other than too appease the noisy left. It adds zip to the story and is just a minimum go around.
If you can get former that (I did), information technology's still an enjoying serial for the most split. Merely you have been warned about season 8. Just disregard it.

Much Better Than the Master copy!
I love the original. Don't produce me wrong. I'm a child of the 80s and Voltron was one of the best cartoons made at the time on with Robo-Technical school. There was another Voltron I didn't like. The one with completely the picayune plane/squirt looking things. The lions were the topper. However, this particular version of Voltron (Legendary Guardian) takes the cake! They retain a lot of elements from the original version but step it up a nick. Of course made 20 years later we've had much progress with CGI and resolution, just this also has great stories. Stories alike those of old just better. I like the old go effects and silly character quirks. It gives the show grapheme. It follows the stories similarly but wagerer. There's also deeper character story and plot. Couple the 2 together (story and imaging), and you have an awesome show! I hope kids of this propagation enjoy this indicate. It is not simply cool but is the same as 80s shows as it promotes teamwork and getting along with others as lessons in for each one show. We are every last individuals and should exist aerated as special. Long-handled live Voltron!!!

What the quiznak?
Warning: Spoilers
Ok indeed I just finished the serial publication and came along here and I couldn't consider the negative reviews regarding the hale thing, or the last two seasons being so bad they gave it a 1 paygrad. Now were they non as goody-goody equally seasons 1-6? Perchance, but were they just so bad the whole experience is undone? Utterly not! Personally I loved the whole thing, exceot the unity thing that does fall out in the last which is stopping a higher rating from Maine. Someone known as the last season nothing but a rom com, wherefore? Because of the kne date Lance and Allira fall out in the premier? Different than that you only see them alone together a minimal times in 13 episodes. And truly I watched this whole show with my nephews and they didnt care at all and they are 6 and 8, time to follow what the next generation thinks. Simply I digress, I follow very few full of life shows. This and Castlevania are the only two western anime manner I've seen and that show is great besides. But I feature a have a go at it for space Opera and this reveal reminds me of saturday morning cartoons in the 90's except actually serialized and cooked in a fantastic way., yes I know this is a redo only it's a rattling well finished unity. Thus please scout this show and settle for yourself if you like IT or non

This series started great and ended like crap...
Warning: Spoilers
Being a kid of brought heavenward on 80s cartoons and USA cartoon express with Voltron, Thundercats, G. I. Joes and all the other awe-inspiring ones. This series started tabu great, then taking Keith out of the Black Lion was a Brobdingnagian disappointment. He was mine and a good deal of others favorite. Sure Shiro started there merely he had his time symmetric in the underived then Keith took information technology and chair the Lions to the end. Making Pidge a girl makes since but after it was discovered let the character maturate atomic number 3 a woman or tomboy. And the ending having the dumb fomite Voltron at the end; was a huge error no ever likable the vehicle extraordinary in my day and to call back the cars are going to replace the Lions till they return never gonna happen. Thats wherefore that show never lasted and those toys never sold. Everyone loves the Lions. The ending from each one character deserved to keep the lions to protect the cosmos. And to find felicity like Shiro did. I mean let Keith marry the Ghalra chick, Alura and Lance or even Pidge and Lump acquiring together. Possibly accelerating promotion to show them older with the lions and defending the universe or with families of their have. The ending is fair-and-square a huge disappointment and the last couple seasons just kinda well fall unawares. But I still love the show, it brings me in reply to Saturday mornings waking up and eating food grain in my PJs watching the best cartoons ever. Non like the empty-headed ones today.

someone got lazy in the end
Dissuasive: Spoilers
My first review got rejected. I wear't jazz wherefore. If it was other show I probably wouldn't even care but I loved Voltron arsenic a banter. I grew up observance the it daily . The new series was much a joyful storm..and so there was time of year 8. This last chapter feels like information technology was forced and patched collectively with a bunch of stochastic ideas. Throughout the whole season characters make the most illogical decisions just to drive the story somewhere. Everything starts well, just it quickly goes downhill from there. After or s makeweight episode we cause to the grand finale where disdain the impossible odds the good guys win through with...willpower. I don't know how other to describe it. Voltron is the most awe-inspiring force in the universe. That's what we are star to believe, only I father't get that picture from watching flavor 8. To whirligig it all there are a crew of cliches thrown in and a weird ending. You won't really miss so much if you bound off that last partially and save yourself several hours.

Starts well, but goes downhill
As many of the Sir Thomas More recent reviews (Dec 2022) have expressed, the utmost season (ordinal) wasn't very good nor was the 7th which was when the show began its descending spiral. I have downgraded my original score of 8/10 to 6/10 after seeing the conclusion to this story, soh that shows you how much I unlikeable the ending. I'll leave this spoiler free of, merely just pronounce the ending goes against the ethos pushed through the whole show that Voltron wins Eastern Samoa a team and not as individuals.

It started strong, merely ended deflated and organism less interesting.
The first seasons where really good, then again it started repeating it individual, made the univers seem small, and kinda forgot distances and we abruptly where not traveling between systems in a galaxy, but betwixt totally galaxies, so it kinda ruined it self there on the logical scale.
Season 8 tries to be profound but is very disappointing for any anime fan, and it kinda sums leading the penning in generel, it ends up beingness a pretty forgettable serial publication in the end. IT's non arsenic bad as new series, the PC culture is kept comparative in check, but information technology does shine trough and kinda ends with the laugh line, as it shows it equally the but ending with any kind of personal relationship. Kinda wasted equally it could just have been a subplot.
Actors are fine borderline zealous at sometimes, and the animation is for a westerly cartoon good. It's really lone in the writing it lacks imagination and power. If you can watch it for free and have lots of time, then IT's a okay watch for most of the seasons. But don't expect anything like great stories that keeps pursuant or pan off to something great, this is Cartoon Meshing level of writing we are talking about, non adult or gum anime.

Beautiful, but pitiful, ending to a rare aliveness hold dear
This series was beautiful, thither is nobelium other way to put information technology. I have watched all season, all sequence, and totally the spell I couldn't serve merely think things couldn't get Sir Thomas More aggravated or fantastical. And yet the writers and show runners managed to always unrivaled-up themselves. Every battle, every mission, every character came together into something to a greater extent. THIS is how cartoon reboots, and just cartoons in general, should be successful. Wonderful spiritedness and brilliant writing capture the hearts and minds of the viewers. I can't say that any other revived series that's come out in the past decade has had so much an bear on. This isn't some lazy cartoon where the one-magnitude main characters come together, sing a strain, and want the bad guys absent. No, this has sand. IT has battles with high stakes and losses. In that respect is true sacrifice and moral lessons. It's not padded down aside a political agenda of diversity or LGBTQ inclusion body, though when enclosed these topics were actually handled in the main well without shoving it downcast throats. This show has everything one necessarily for a GOOD story. Information technology has likable characters with flaws, it has iniquity and repurchase, and IT has a sense of magnate and depth that you father't receive in cartoons nowadays. While there are things about the ending I didn't like, I think out it was fitting to the series itself and nonmoving goes falling as one of the best I've seen. And I'm completely shocked. As someone who at first ignored this show when it first came forbidden because I wrote it off as just another reboot cash-grab, I can happily say that this has become uncomparable of my favorite shows of all meter. To see DreamWorks produce something this great is a echt marvel, and in time simultaneously I have to question how a air division that can produce something on this level can too produce some of the whip rebooted shows I've seen. Whatever the convoluted reasons behind the other flops they released in recent months, I hope that the team that conjointly Voltron can leastwise go on to create something this swell once more. There is clearly a lot of talent Here and if they can do Voltron, they can do anything. I sincerely believe there is more good to come from the people in arrears Voltron and I believe there is still hope for the future of animation if we can produce works like this.

Non perfect, only a lot of fun.
I was always a fan of the 80's in flux of anime for Saturday mornings, sadly the Voltron that was offered then was not a favourite of mine. Not trusted, why but it didn't colloidal gel at the metre. But I am sunnily surprised with this Netflix offering, lately i have noticed the Netflix shows are selfsame edgy(I do enjoy those besides), so this offer is a nice palate cleansing. A brisk change, giving families something everyone can watch, not something easy as we undergo with Jessica Jones, Swashbuckler, etc. I sexual love the interactions with the newfound takes of the Voltron team up, and the animation is good, not the usual cheap animation that is everyplace nowadays in shows. If it denatured this crusty emeritus school invigoration fan heart, hold it a go. I hope it has a polysyllabic life-time on Netflix.
